Ultrasound gel is transparent and thick, but not unpleasantly sticky. When ultrasound gel is applied to skin, it does not drip and dribble out of it. Ultrasound gel lightly sticks to skin and stays there till cleaning after a treatment procedure is finished. Most frequently mentioned remark of clients who use gel for ultrasound refers to its coolness. Consequently many medical and cosmetic experts use special heaters, which before applying ultrasound gel to a client’s skin rise temperature of a gel to a more convenient level. However, it has to be remembered that a calm ultrasound gel is even desired in some treatment procedures.
